Training is not only a tradition at MICHELFELDER, it's also our future. We give young dedicated people the opportunity to help shape this future in our corporate group during and by virtue of their training. Experienced colleagues teach young people the basics of their future profession in our spacious training center with its own machinery. This is where the trainees put into practice what they have learned by working on their own projects. The result of this systematic support: we can hire almost all of our trainees.
Mentoring system for trainees and new employees
During their training, the young people learn the technical foundations that are required for their future careers. However, learning doesn't stop at MICHELFELDER when the training program comes to an end. After completion of their training, a support program supports our young skilled workers in taking their first steps into the working world. But other new employees at MICHELFELDER will also find this "on-the-job training" a helpful measure that benefits them during their first few months.
Over a period of 5 quarters, they get to know different plants of the group and systematically acquire practical experience and routine in their daily work. This allows us to recognize and encourage their strengths and inclinations as well as their interest in their future principal duties during this phase.
During this time, the respective department heads act as mentors of these young skilled workers who will challenge them with specific tasks and provide final recommendations.
Education partner MICHELFELDER
MICHELFELDER GmbH is working closely with schools in the region. Educational partnerships with primary and secondary technical schools in Fluorn-Winzeln and Aichhalden and our cooperation with Eschachschule Dunningen provide the framework to create many career guidance opportunities for students.
This includes of course regular openings for student internships and participation in projects such as the "Girls Day". On information days, we provide interested young people and their parents with information on the training and the job profiles at MICHELFELDER.
Moreover, MICHELFELDER is involved in the SyPerB project of the Chamber of Commerce. SyPerB stands for "Systematic personnel development of employees in the Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg region" and brings together students and companies from the region to get to know and exchange ideas with each other in the course of work projects. This is an ideal opportunity for the students to get their bearings in the job market, get to know different job profiles and discover new career opportunities.
